Ok, on occasion I post things that are more than slightly paranoid although not always without good cause. This is one of those times when to dismiss this as paranoia is to underestimate the lengths that a State without real accountability will go. These cool little things make me see Neal Stephenson-esque visions of a dark future filled with a State far darker and more invasive than even now. That being said, I also believe that all technologies carry with them the potential for the individual to respond to the threat implied by those technologies. For example, the potential existence (as well as the implementation) of radar gun technology implied the coexistence of radar detectors; radar detectors created radar detector-detectors, which fostered the development of jammers, etc.


Ok, I'll stop talking, on to the toys...

The Israelis are developing similar technology, no doubt with stolen US dollars.(remember Tom of T.H.U.M.B?):
