A friend innocently sent me this link:
New Scientist News - Gun-toting motorists more prone to road rage
Here is my response:
What is this anti-firearms rights gibberish?
A 7% differential out of 2400 drivers? So we're talking about 2400 out of 196 MILLION registered drivers (http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0908123.html)? That's a sample of 1 out of every 82000 drivers or 1.225 to the -5th power; that's statistical bullshit. Did you know that, statistically speaking, everyone on the planet has one testicle and one breast? Where were the drivers sampled? Were they in states with liberal or fascist gun laws? Were they licensed guns? Did they have history of violence? How old were they? What was their demographic status? Were they telling the truth?
"Police no longer have the right to ban someone they consider unsuitable from owning a gun. "
And that's a goddamned good thing, the last people we want restricting the right to self-defense are fucking thugs with badges and near impunity.
"Our findings indicate that the people driving around with guns in their cars are not among the most responsible and best-behaved people on the road," says Vriniotis. "In the interests of injury and violence prevention, it probably makes more sense to tighten rather than relax restrictions on gun carrying in motor vehicles."
Fuck you Vriniotis, you fascist fuckwit. If I saw you in my car, I'd flip you off and call you a bad name. But I wouldn't shoot you, even though I keep a registered firearm under my seat.
